What do you say when you finally meet someone who had a tremendous impact on your young life?
Most (including myself) in the dark New Jersey auditorium said dumb stuff, but Ms. Lara Parker
(for those who do not know was one of the stars of the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows)
was still gracious and beautiful. My confession of adolescent love and a question if she had the DVD's
( I meant the DVD sets of Dark Shadows!!) made me a little warm with embarrassment in the already
sort of warm Church auditorium. The inscription she wrote to me on her photo was
"To My Next Victim!".
Wow.
After two autgraphed pics and an autographed book, I left the auditorium wishing that
I'd said something more, if not more intelligent !
