HOW CAN ANYONE NOT LOVE ME?
Chester is an American Staffordshire (Pit Bull) and he is my "Millenium Dog".
We calculated that he was born sometime around January 2000. He was severely
mistreated by someone as a puppy. Covered with sores and cigarette burns, he was taken in
by a local animal shelter where he was to be euthanized.
Luckily, someone at the local START II animal rescue who specializes
in saving dogs at "the last minute" spotted the sad looking
puppy and decided to give him a second chance. After a cleanup, he
came into our lives in 2001 from the Paramus, New Jersey PetSmart. Except for one
destroyed Steiff teddy bear and a chewed pedestal of an antique marble coffee table,
he has been a joy to live with.
